Two new websites

This news entry is a little bit delayed if you compare it to the German one. This is simply because I hereby introduce two new websites, which are not available in English...

Part 3

Results - Delicious Delicacies

Apple-rings

Lets begin with something nice. Principaly this is like a banana fritter. Some warm fruit in a crispy hull.

Something tasty for everybody.

Snickers

When talking about the fried Snickers we already talk about our absolute favourite. This thing is just delicious and wonderful strange. Especially the peanuts in this mixture are great. Also there is not too much chocolate in there that could leak.

This is a great pleasure that should be available in every restaurant.

Marshmallows

Marshmallows are mostly made of sugar and thats the problem. As you can see on the picture the whole marshmallow vanished to leave behind an empty hull. (We used marshmallows shaped like a rhomb.)

Only reasonable when dieting.

Duplo

The deep-fried Duplo is OK and very similar to the Snickers. But it misses the peanuts and somehow there is more chocolate leaking from the hull. Additionally it is very thin making it difficult to cover it with dough. As you can see on the picture, there was too much dough on the top, so it didn't cook completely.

An uncomfortable alternative to the Snickers.

Gummi bears

No it's getting colorful and strange: Deep-fried gummi bears provide a natural happiness just by their color. Just take a handful and throw them into the dough. Then use a spoon to get them out again and start frying. They will melt and create a colorful ball in a crispy hull. And you can even select your color and taste.

This could become a cult-meal!

Pringles

This was a flop, because even with a second hull and deep-fried a second time there is still not much taste in this product. But this way you can find out whether the fat has already got its own taste.

This is just flavourless.

White chocolate

After Snickers and Duplo lets try some pure chocolate, but white chocolate. The result: Deep-fried chocolate is great in general - regardless of its type. But here you have to watch out as everything can leak into the fat. But if it works, you get a nice ball of molten chocolate.

Simply classic!

Cookie

These are really simple cookies and we had to find out, that their taste isn't intensive enough. But we could imagine that other kinds of cookies would work better. They definitly are very stable and so they could also be used to stabilize other ingredients, that would not stay together.

Could be good to carry other things.

honey waffle

I'm not sure whether the translation is correct. I'm talking about two thin waffles with a very thin layer of honey or caramel between them. And exactly there is the problem. Their surface is very huge, because they are so thin and you get more dough than waffles. But with the honey/caramel it is a little bit better than the cookie.

A bit different.

Some hints

Finally, lets add some hints.

Of course, you can also deep fry things without all the dough, but with some stuff the procedure is very difficult if not impossible. For example marshmallows can be "roasted" if you take them out very early.

Even better (but even more difficult) than roasting marshmallows is roasting gummi bears. Pick them up with a spoon and hold stick them into the fat. Now be careful: First they are in a good shape and in the next second they are gone.If you time it right, you get a creamy gummi bear.

Finally I want to repeat: You should try this if you are about to exchange the fat, because afterwards it will look like ours on the picture to the left.
